Master of Economics, Finances and Appropriations from “Dimitar Tzenov” Academy of Economics, Svishtov. She holds a certificate of International Accounting Standards (2004) and Quality Management Systems (Brasil, 2005). She has done specializations in taxation and accounting in Germany and OECD – Vienne, local self-governance in Czech Republic and the USA, and in public entities auditing in London.

She has extensive experience in the field of control as an expert and chief expert in financial policy and tax control, and further as a deputy-chief of Profit Tax Department in the Ministry of Finance.

In 1995 she was elected member of the newly established National Audit Office of the Republic of Bulgaria by the National Assembly for a nine-year term of office. She had been the Head of the Economic Ministries and Agencies Department (1996-2001) and Audit Performance Department (2002-2005). She takes part in the working groups on environmental Auditing of INTOSAI and EUROSAI. Member of the auditing committee of the European Development Bank, Paris.

From 2006 to 2008 she was an internal auditor of the Central Depository, S.C. In 2008 she held the post of director of the EU Funds Auditing Directorate in the Ministry of Finance.

She is a member of the Consultative Public Council to the President of the National Audit Office; a member of the Bulgarian Institute of Internal Auditors.
