Master in Economics from the University of Economics, Varna and with doctorate-level degree from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia. Certified Public Accountant in 1991 and an Associate Professor of Accounting and Control in 1995 in University of Economics, Varna.
He is Managing partner of Svrakov and Milev – LTD from June 2001. Before that he was manager in the Varna office of Deloitte & Touche and has extensive experience in the field of audit of national and international accounting standards in a number of industrial, commercial and transport enterprises and banks. He has been responsible for the tax consulting office in Varna in the period 1993 - 1997; from September 2003 he is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Auditing at Varna Free University.
He has been a President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants - regional organization of Varna in the period 2001-2002. He has been a President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Bulgaria in the period 2002-2004.
He is an author of over 80 publications in issues of accounting, tax and financial control.
He speaks Russian and English.
